Supporting the growth of entrepreneurship with Veterans requires a collaborative effort between engaged organizations and also corporations that share sincere commitment. Our work certifying, training and connecting Veteran Business Enterprises (VBEs) with opportunities depends on great partners and sponsors supporting our work. Partners like Interface© make it possible

Veterans Business Initiative (VBI) is proud to announce Interface© as a corporate sponsor of VBI. Interface® is the world’s largest manufacturer of modular carpet. As a corporation they have a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and also supplier diversity and inclusion.

“Interface is a dynamic partner to the Veteran business community and VBI and we appreciate their sponsorship,” said Ron Washington, Acting National Executive Director. “Interface’s sponsorship and support of VBI enabled us to expand our investment in technology and the services we provide via our website vetbizinitiative.com. Interface demonstrates their commitment by providing not just sponsorship but also leadership of executives like David Gabel, Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Interface© Americas on our Executive Advisory Board. We’re honored to partner with Interface as they continue to find ways to increase opportunities to work with Veteran owned businesses.”

Interface© is also leading the effort in sustainability practices in the flooring industry with their initiative called Mission Zero. Mission Zero is the name of a sustainability initiative whereby Interface, plans to source 100% recycled nylon by 2020 while eliminating any negative impact the company has on the environment. “Mission Zero” also could be used to describe what happens to any supplier that doesn’t share Interface’s goal of pushing sustainability throughout its entire supply chain, as the amount of business they do with Interface tends to drop precipitously.
